THIS GNOME DOOR'S STORY IN A NUTSHELL . . .
Troll's Gully was founded by Norre Gunnarson who, when he was young, found an injured baby troll in a gully of the Cascade Mountains. Norre discovered the troll during a rousing nighttime game of Gnome Scouts and Trolls (similar to the human game of Cowboys and Indians).

Did you know that gnomes are nocturnal?
Gnomes are nocturnal. They sleep during the day and are active in the night. That being said, gnomes are capable of being awake throughout the day, if needed. This usually happens if a gnome’s Usefulness calls for it, or if the gnome is traveling great distances. Some gnomes simply enjoy it. Being active at night is no problem for gnomes. They can see far better in darkness than humans see in light. In fact, gnomes can see many times better than humans under all circumstances. |
Once Norre had a son to take care of, he quickly found himself in the unenviable position of having to find a Usefulness before one naturally occurred to him. His friends Pacco and Peete had lots of su ggestions, but it wasn’t until they suggested Norre turn his hobby of brewing beer into a Usefulness that they hit on something that was actually realistic. There was only one problem: Norre brewed terrible tasting beer.
