The Safely Deposit Vault is a service provided by Gnome Valley Bank. Unlike the Magical Vault of Everything in which gnomes put their valuables to share with others, the Safely Deposit Box is where gnomes temporarily store valuables they would like to use again themselves some day. Gnomes often go on very long trips (10, 20 year long trips). In those instances, they need a reliable place to store important things like the family brushes and their ornate toilets so they will be safe from natural disasters or trolls while they are away. That's where the Safely Deposit Vault comes in.
Gnomes may store items in the Safely Deposit Vault for up to 50 years. After 50 years, if their items have not been reclaimed, they are moved to the Magical Vault of Everything for sharing with other creatures. If the original gnome owners do come to reclaim them and they are still in the Magical Vault of Everything they may have them. If they have been withdrawn by someone else, they are given something else of equal value and beauty to replace the item they originally had.
