THIS GNOME DOOR'S STORY IN A NUTSHELL . . .
In the first part of the 20th century, the Eliasens had a strong working relationship with the Tertsagian and Balaban families, the founders of Liberty Orchards, a famous orchard in the human community of Cashmere, Washington. In the 1930s and 40s, as Liberty Orchards was perfecting their delicious Aplets & Cotlets recipe and process, both gnomes and fairies frequently helped them.
Today, the Eliasens enjoy a strong business in their country store. It is favored by both local and traveling gnomes as an ideal place to find special gifts and mementos for family and friends. In fact, the store does a very strong telepathic business - receiving many orders a day either through telepathy or animal post (gnomes haven't yet embraced the World Wide Web as a useful business tool. Maybe they will someday soon!). The Eliasens have two grown children who have children of their own and recently, on May 3, 2014, Larrs and Petunia became foster parents for two adorable gnome children from Canada – Sonja and Kolby Switzelberg.
