THIS GNOME DOOR'S STORY IN A NUTSHELL . . .
Neva Zella Whipple Fairhair, IX simply cannot be contained in one story. So we'll start with her name. She calls herself:
Neva...or...Zella...or...Neva Zella...or...NZ...or...Neva Z.W...or...Neva ZWF...or...Fairhair 9...as well as several other versions she makes up on the fly.
Then, there's her hair. It's long. It's golden. It's wavy. And it's completely out of control. She won't put it up and she won't braid or contain it and she certainly won't be caught with a kerchief over it. Neva just lets her hair flow and blow. And it gets all over the place (she does wash & brush it regularly. But still!).
Then there's her crazy notion of revealing gnome doors to humans and other nonsense like that.
But at the end of the day, Neva is a nice girl. She cares deeply about her fellow gnomes and she's enamored with her fellow humans. She is also a whitewater goddess - able to tackle the most heinous of rapids and do daring river runs most animals (humans included) would never consider.
Neva is a goddess, alright. She's a lot like you and me.
But don't take our word for it. Hear from Neva's oldest sister, Delores. She's got a few things to say:
