8/2/2014 0 Comments Trolls or Humans??? Oh the drama! Yesterday was such an exciting day. Torgen and Thelma Jensson, after much deliberation, agreed to reveal to humans the door to the Magical Vault of Everything. So just before a late bedtime for them (around 9am), they removed the invisible spell from the door and *Presto* it could be seen by all humans. THEN! In the wee hours of afternoon, while all gnomes in the valley were sound asleep, someone tried to break into the vault!!! Of course, we immediately suspected the Nahahum Troll Klan, because they have certainly tried to break in before (the last time they tried they broke the concrete below the left corner of the door). But, alas, we think it might have been just a well-meaning and curious human who had probably never seen a gnome door before and so tried to open it.
We learned a very valuable lesson through this experience. It turns out that gnome protect spells don't protect gnomes or their things from humans. It's been a bit of a shocker for the community to realize this. It appears that humans are the only creatures against whom gnomes do not have natural protective abilities. We really hope this experiment to reveal our doors doesn't result in our destruction. But if it does, we will have no regrets. It was time for the humans to gnow we are here and we care about them. Hopefully, they will care about us in return. p.s. we fixed the door & put up some extra protection and an alarm box.! Yeah for Teodor & Milly Jensson (Torgen & Thelma's children). They worked all through Friday night and stayed up 1/2 of Saturday to complete the repairs. Hopefully that'll do the trick, at least for a while anyway. That vault door is awfully old. Perhaps it needS to be replaced. *sigh* nothing last forever I guess...including magical vaults of everything!
