9/22/2014 0 Comments Still working' on it!We're still working on our Magical Vault fix. We've got lots of options...these things just take time. To be honest, we kinda gnew the vault door was probably too fragile to last very long (it was the first gnome door to which we applied the Reveal magic spell & we didn't have our formula refined). But have no fear, the vault itself is operating perfectly and our vault customers haven't experienced any inconvenience. In fact, they've enjoyed inspecting the damage. They get a kick out of failed troll escapades.

There is nothing better than a day with a human child knocking on our doors! Thanks for visiting, little ones!
9/12/2014 0 Comments A welcome visitor!Hallo there cheery fella! I enjoyed your visit to Gnome Valley River Sports. I wasn't sure if you were visiting for a ride down the river or if you're one of my many, many suitors, but I certainly enjoyed meeting you and I hope you'll stop by again soon! Sincerely, Neva Zella WFIX
9/9/2014 0 Comments BLASTED TROLLS STRIKE AGAIN!We don't know where (actually, we do) and we don't know when (actually, we do) and we don't know why (we CERTAINLY do), but those blasted trolls have attacked our Magical Vault of Everything Again! Where: Gnome Valley Bank
When: Sometime in 2014 Why: Because trolls are soooooooooooo dumb! What: Are we going to do about it? We're not sure! We're going to have some gnome meetings (complete with our usual singing, dancing and delicious food) and we'll figure it out. Stay tuned! WE JUST WON THE BEST OF SHOW!!!!!!! There is a red, white and blue ribbon on our Chelan County Fair entry! We're so very excited our human friends enjoyed our entry and very honored with the award!
And, okay, I will forgive Ulrik now. Maybe. 9/4/2014 0 Comments Oh Urlik...You shouldn't have!An Open Letter to Urlik Andersson:
Urlik, I am ashamed of you. After all the time and energy that the door committee spent on preparing their exhibit for the fair, how could you, Maynard & Spike go and muck it up by carving your names in the pathway??!! I swear, I'm never going to talk to you again. Sincerely, Neva Zella WFIX Hopefully, hopefully! Tomorrow the Gnomes of Cashmere will submit three of their doors (replicas, of course) for entry into the Chelan County Fair. Hopefully, the fair Fair people will be willing to accept entry from a group of gnomes. We're pretty sure THAT'S never been done before. We carefully read the fair exhibit guidelines and they don't say anywhere that gnomes can't exhibit, so cross your fingers and...we'll see you at the fair!
8/27/2014 0 Comments Nothing but the best will doThe Cashmere Gnome Door Committee has been hard at work this weekend looking for a resolution to our Riverside Center dilemma. We looked at relocating the door. It was not ideal. After much deliberation (and even a little bit of singing - see the Story of the Gnome Valley Soda Fountain for details on why), we gnomes have decided the time just isn't right. The very best place for our door is where it is right now - in the Cashmere Riverside Center Foyer, magically hidden from view. Someday when human belief in the Gnomes of Cashmere is strong enough, we'll reveal the door. Until then, if you believe, be sure to say "I wish to see the Gnome door!" anytime you enter Riverside Center. Maybe your belief will make all the difference.
8/22/2014 0 Comments Oh, Dearie me!Sometimes making progress is just plain hard. We gnomes built our beautiful Gnome Riverside Music Center and we want to reveal its door to our human neighbors! Unfortunately, right now, we can't. It's not the City of Cashmere's fault. The City of Cashmere is very supportive of our door project (look for another door on city property soon!) and all Cashmere gnomes, in fact. But we do have an obstacle. A human obstacle. Our human obstacle sadly believes other humans will hurt our door, so does not want it directly exposed. We think that's so sad! And so not fun!! We'll be looking for other options - perhaps we'll move our Riverside Music Center to a different location (that would be a lot of work...it has a lot of underground rooms)...or perhaps we'll simply keep that one hidden until the time comes when humans trust each other just a little bit more...
8/13/2014 0 Comments A Big Day! Today we revealed a fourth door...MINE! I'm the only gnome (so far!) who has decided to reveal the door to their own personal residence. In revealing it, I'm also revealing my boat locker and my oh-I'm-so-proud-of-myself! trophy which I won with Tao (my human hero!) by my side. Yah, yah, yah, it's true he doesn't know I was actually with him, but that's just a technicality!
I need to get cracking on my story. I was supposed to have it done a while ago. Did I mention I'm a procrastignome? |
